Foundation Board

Created in December 2004, the Foundation Board, known as Episcopal Children's Services Foundation, Inc. was created to receive and maintain funds or gifts of real or personal property to support Episcopal Children's Services, Inc. Since it's inception, the Foundation has developed a fundraising strategy and employed a full-time person to manage the community relations activities. Through Better Beginnings Tours and an annual fundraising event, known as Better Beginnings, the Foundation Board has established the groundwork for multi-year donors.

Better Beginnings Tours

Better Beginnings Tours allow members of the community to join representatives from Episcopal Children's Services to learn more about the important services we provide. The one hour tours feature information about the history and future of ECS, stories of families that have been significantly and directly impacted by our services and a tour of one of our quality preschool programs. The tours begin at 9:30 a.m.; days and locations may vary. Please contact us for more information or to schedule a tour.

ECS Volunteer Opportunities

ECS is looking for Preschool Volunteers to read to children, make arts and crafts, and help with special events such as Family Festivals. We need volunteers who are interested in working with children between the ages of 2 - 5 years old.

We value our volunteers and recognize the positive impact they make in a child's development. Whether our volunteers are reading to children in the classroom or playing games with them on the playground, they are helping make every day moments opportunities for learning. Our volunteers work together with our staff to help children live happier, healthier lives.

To find out how you can help call Jeanne Duffy at 726-1500 extension 222.

The programs supported by the Monique Burr Foundation impacts the lives of over 16,000 disadvantaged children each year.
