VPK for Parents

How to Register Your Child for the 2008-2009 School Year or the 2009 Summer Program?

  1. You will need to meet with us for a face-to-face meeting. To schedule a face-to-face meeting, please call us at (904)726-1500 or (800)238-3463 and ask to speak with a VPK Specialist.

  2. At the meeting, you will need to submit a photocopy of your child's proof of age and a photocopy of your proof of residency in the State of Florida (Click here to see acceptable forms of documentation).

  3. We will then provide you with a VPK Parent Handbook, a Parent's Guide to VPK Standards, a Certificate of Eligibility and a list of VPK providers.

  4. You will take your Certificate of Eligibility to the provider of your choice (from the list of participating providers) in order to be enrolled.

  5. The provider will contact our office for a confirmation number; this number is specific to your child and that VPK provider. Once the provider has entered your confirmation number on your Certificate of Eligibility and returned the original certficate to our office, your child will be considered enrolled in the program.

***NOTE: VPK Policy requires that the Parent/Guardian with whom the child LIVES be the one to complete the necessary VPK paperwork.  If you are not the child’s parent, then proof of Guardianship is also required***
