How to Register Your Child for the 2011-2012 School Year or the 2012 Summer Program?

  1. You need meet with us for a face-to-face interview where we will collect a PHOTOCOPY of proof of your child's age & proof of your Florida residency. This is done by attending a VPK roundup/ registration. For a list of these round-ups click here.
  2. At the round-up you will need to complete the VPK application, submit a PHOTOCOPY of your child’s proof of age and a PHOTOCOPY of your proof of residency in the state of Florida.
  3. We will provide you with a VPK Parent Handbook, a Parent's Guide to VPK Standards, a Certificate of Eligibility and a list of VPK providers (Lists of providers can also be reviewed at our website or by conducting a provider search on the DCF licensing website (www.myflorida.com/childcare/provider).
  4. You will take your Certificate of Eligibility to the participating provider of your choice in order to be enrolled.
  5. The provider will contact our office for a confirmation number; this number is specific to your child and that VPK provider. Once the provider has entered your confirmation number on your certificate of eligibility and returned the original certificate to our office,
your child will be considered enrolled in the program.
