Bob Ohrablo has more than 30 years’ experience in the pro sports and entertainment business. He was the leading force behind the return of the Orlando Solar Bears to central Florida and managed various aspects of the team’s marketing, sponsorship/ticket sales, and community efforts. During Ohrablo’s tenure, the Solar Bears were ECHL leaders in many major revenue areas.
Ohrablo’s experience spans six professional hockey teams including teams in the NHL, AHL, ECHL, and the IHL. While at the Florida Panthers (NHL), Ohrablo led major growth in sponsorship, which contributed to the team being named the 2008 Sports Business Weekly Business Stanley Cup winner. In 2008 and 2009, he co-produced the Bermuda Music Festival with performers such as Beyoncé, Alicia Keys, UB40, and many others.
Ohrablo recently served as Executive Director of Visit Orlando, creating corporate partnerships for the largest tourism association in the United States. He is also is an adjunct instructor at Endicott College near Boston and teaches a masters-level course in sports sponsorship.
Ohrablo believes strongly in community service, having worked closely with the Boys and Girls Clubs of Central Florida, Junior Achievement of Central Florida, and Nap Ford School Foundation Board. In addition, Ohrablo served on Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer’s Project DTO Committee, creating a 10-year plan for Downtown Orlando. He plans to continue his involvement to help make Jacksonville an even better place to live and work, while leading the city into a new era of pro hockey.
