Thabata Batchelor oversees the Centers of Distinction at Wolfson Children’s Hospital, directing the activities of the Northeast Florida Pediatric Diabetes Center, the Center for the Medically Complex Child, the Pediatric Catheterization Laboratory and Cardiology, Cardiovascular Surgery, the Neurodiagnostics Lab, Interventional Radiology, and the Bariatric Program. She has served on the Episcopal Children’s Services Board of Directors since March of 2017.

During her tenure with Wolfson, Ms. Batchelor has helped to develop and incubate core Center of Distinction programs, including those in the specialties of neurosciences, cardiology and cardiothoracic surgery, endocrinology and trauma. Also a highly-regarded expert in public policy, she previously held positions in policy and legislative affairs with the Florida House of Representatives’ Health and Human Services Committee, the Office of Policy and Budget for the Executive Office of the Governor, and the Florida Department of Health.

Ms. Batchelor volunteers her time as a member of Ronald McDonald House’s Red Shoe Crew and is a member of the United Way’s Women in Local Leadership partnership. She holds a master’s degree in Public Health from Florida State University and is an active member of the American College of Health Care Executives.
