Helping Families Ensure Their Children Enter School Ready to Learn

Latest Updates

Dear ECS Family,

Episcopal Children’s Services is in regular communications with the Health Departments in the counties we serve regarding the coronavirus, also known as COVID-19. According the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), there are no cases of COVID-19 in the State of Florida. A recent advisory from the CDC states that “for the general American public, who are unlikely to be exposed to this virus at this time, the immediate health risk from COVID-19 is considered low”.

However, ECS will continue to monitor the situation in collaboration with the Health Department. For now, we ask that our staff and families we serve to follow these practices:

  • Stay home if you are sick.
  • Wash hands regularly.
  • Cover coughs and sneezes.
  • Avoid sharing cups and utensils.

If and when further action is recommended as a result of COVID-19, we will inform staff and families through our website (www.ecs4kids.org), social media pages, and through the family messenger application (Learning Genie).

You can find updates on the virus at www.floridahealth.gov and the CDC’s coronavirus page at https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/index.html

Please be assured that the health and well-being of the children and families we serve and our staff is our highest priority.

Thank you,

Connie Stophel
