Volunteer with ECS4Kids
ECS4Kids values our volunteers and the incredible impact they make in a child’s development. Whether reading stories, crafting, or sharing a unique talent, our volunteers help create fun learning experiences that contribute to children’s cognitive, social, and emotional growth. If you’re passionate about working with children ages 2-5, we have many opportunities for you to make a difference.
Review the available volunteer options below to find with the right opportunity for you.
Virtual & On-Site Volunteer Opportunities
A Stitch in Time – Crochet for Classrooms
Love crocheting? Help us by making a “Bird in a Nest” to support classroom activities, whether you’re a seasoned expert or just starting out.
Virtual /On-Site Classroom Support
Create a video for our children (ages 2-5) showcasing your profession. Whether you’re a firefighter, doctor, or artist, your video will inspire and excite young minds about different careers.
Virtual /On-Site Arts & Crafts
Do you have a creative side? Show our classrooms how to create something beautiful through arts and crafts with a step-by-step video or in-person demonstration.
Virtual /On-Site Readers
Bring stories to life for children ages 0-5 by reading books virtually or creating videos featuring beloved children’s characters. Volunteers are also welcome to read online through ECS4Kids Reads!
Virtual Book Drive
Host a book drive for ages 0-5 at your favorite location (school, church, library, or neighborhood). Send us the books and photos from the event, and we’ll feature you and your team on our social media platforms.
Gardening
Help us teach children the value of health, nutrition, and agriculture by volunteering to plant or maintain gardens at our centers. We are seeking volunteers to plant and/or help maintain vegetable or flower gardens at our centers, and you may have the opportunity to assist children in planting their own gardens and create learning spaces that connect them with nature. If we can teach our children the skills necessary to live healthy productive lives and appreciate the beauty of nature, they can make a lasting impact on the environment for years to come.
Landscaping
Assist us in keeping our facility grounds beautiful by volunteering for landscape cleanup, mowing, and other outdoor projects. Your help ensures our centers remain inviting for children and families.
Special Talent
Have a unique skill? From face painting to balloon art, theatrical storytelling to photography, your talent can bring joy to our children during events and activities.
Diapers/Wipes or Supply Drive
Collecting essential items like diapers, wipes, or classroom supplies is one of the best ways to support ECS4Kids when on-site volunteering isn’t possible. Host a drive at your business or organization to directly impact local families.
Virtual/On-Site “Share Your Experiences”
Have you traveled to exciting places or had multi-cultural adventures? Do you love your career? Share your experiences with our children virtually or on-site to broaden their perspectives and spark their curiosity.
Tabletop Greenhouses
At ECS4Kids, we love having our volunteers on-site, but we also know it’s not always possible. Support our science curriculum by building tabletop greenhouses that help children learn about plant growth and development. It’s a fun, hands-on way to introduce kids to the environment. (Greenhouses must not be made of glass or contain harmful elements.)
Facilities Support
Help maintain our playgrounds by volunteering to sweep, rake, and remove debris. Your support ensures our children have safe, clean spaces to play and learn outdoors. All locations will supply any necessary tools.
