The 2019 Children’s Champion Awards Luncheon, hosted by ECS4Kids, was a heartfelt celebration of those changing the lives of Florida’s children and families. This annual event honors individuals and organizations whose work champions the importance of early childhood development and family support.
This year, ECS4Kids proudly recognized two exceptional honorees: State Attorney Melissa Nelson and Black Knight, Inc. Both were celebrated for their dedication to creating better futures for Florida’s youngest residents. Melissa Nelson was honored for her compassionate leadership and innovative efforts in criminal justice reform that support families and break cycles of adversity. Black Knight Inc. received recognition for its corporate commitment to community investment and support for early education initiatives that empower children and strengthen families.
Held in a spirit of gratitude and inspiration, the luncheon brought together community leaders, educators, advocates, and supporters to reflect on the progress made and the next steps to come. Through communal support, the luncheon demonstrated the power of collaborative action while reaffirming ECS4Kids’ mission to give every child in Florida the strongest start possible. This event was a powerful reminder that when we champion children, we strengthen our communities for generations to come. Together, we continue to pave the way for a brighter future for all children.
