As thought-leaders in the early education space, our CoachJax! and School Readiness programs consist of a team of 20 early learning specialists – and aims to improve early education to Duval, Clay, Nassau, Baker, Bradford, St. Johns, and Putnam County by creating partnerships with various private providers to strengthen the interactions between educators and their students and improve school environments.
Part of creating strong learning environments includes fostering joy, creativity, and connection in each of the 375+ classroom ECS4Kids supports. During a recent circus-themed spirit day, teachers dressed as clowns to engage students in a fun and meaning way.
“Coaching is my passion,” says Education Specialist, Brianna DeOsca. “Not only do I enjoy creating a relationship with these teachers, but coaching allows me to give teachers the confidence and support to do their best and give the students their best.”
“This coaching experience has made my teaching more intentional and stream-lined the learning experience with my students,” says one teacher by the name of Zoey. “It comes more naturally after having Mrs. Bri break down each category in detail. This experience has been very fulfilling.”
“I truly enjoy offering feedback and strategies that will help and empower the teachers to have a more caring and productive learning environment for all,” says Katrina Willis, Education Specialist. “I really value seeing the transformation into more effective and supportive teachers and it is a joy to see them grasp the concepts and strategies we practice together.”
Through these programs, ECS4Kids is not only strengthening classrooms today, but helping to shape brighter futures for children throughout our community, one teacher and one child at a time.
