With the goal to make literacy more accessible to our families, the Kiwanis Club of Clermont and Read to Sydney joined forces to provide an onsite library to our Clermont ECS4Kids Center.
Called the Lending Library Book Box, the books are free for the children to take home and then bring back to swap out for another!
“The library book box is great because it encourages me to read to my children more because it makes books more accessible,” says ECS4Kids parent, Ms. Eunice. “It is a wonderful resource for families!”
“Having a library book box at our school provides our families with a library-like experience daily,” says ECS4Kids’ Clermont Center Manager, Aneesa Timmons. “The variety of books our children have to choose from promotes choice which aligns with our best practices. It also is promoting family engagement, print knowledge, language development, real world connections, phonemic awareness, and a plethora of additional skills!”
