Open House is more than a chance to meet the teachers — it’s the first step in building a strong collaboration between families and our team. At ECS4Kids, we look at each of our parents, grandparents, guardian ad litem, and anyone else that plays a role in the village of our students as partners; partners that share one goal and one goal only: a bright future filled with endless possibilities built on the foundation of learning and love.

Parents began the day with an informative presentation covering everything they need to know for a successful school year, including pick-up and drop-off procedures, communication through our family app, program requirements, and meaningful ways to get involved in their child’s learning journey. Each section was covered by a different staff member who took this as an opportunity to not only reintroduce themselves, but the impact their particular role has on their child.

From there, families toured the center, met their child’s teachers, and explored the classrooms where curiosity, creativity, and learning come to life each day. At our Eustis center, families also enjoyed face painting and free haircuts, making the day even more memorable.

“Open House is important because it is a chance to welcome the children into the center with their parents,” says Starr Wingfield, Center Manager of our Eustis center. “It allows them to interact with teachers and peers in a relaxed setting before they go home to share what they experienced. It also gives the families an opportunity to meet the admin staff, tour the facility, and get a recap of some of the policies, procedures, and expectations they received during enrollment.”
It was a wonderful start to the school year and the perfect beginning for our little learners as they get a head start on a bright future!
