At this time, all ECS Head Start/Early Head Start locations in Duval County as well as The Learning Center at Good Shepherd will be closed Tuesday, August 29 – Thursday, August 31. ECS Headquarters located at 8649 Baypine Road will be closed on Wednesday, August 30 only.
Citrus County, Levy County, and Marion County Head Start/Early Head Start Centers will be closed Tuesday, August 29 and Wednesday, August 30. The administrative building at Skylark will be closed Wednesday, August 30 only.
Lake County Head Start/Early Head Start centers will be closed Wednesday, August 30.

We are currently monitoring Tropical Storm Idalia, forecasted to become a hurricane later today. This storm may affect our service area later this week. Currently there are no changes to ECS operations.

Wednesday, November 9, 2022 – 2 p.m.
At this time, all ECS Head Start/Early Head Start locations, One Stops, and Administrative buildings in Alachua, Baker, Bradford, Citrus, Duval, Clay, Gilchrist, Lake, Nassau, Marion, St John’s, and Putnam counties will be closed Thursday, November 10.
Please note that both Skylark Administrative building in Marion County and the Central Headquarters in Duval County will be closed on November 10.
All ECS locations are closed on Friday, November 11 in recognition of Veterans Day.
Wednesday, November 9, 2022 – 10 a.m.

TS Ian formed in the Caribbean over the weekend. It is expected to become a hurricane later today or tonight. Ian is expected to be a major hurricane in the Gulf of Mexico during the middle of the week. Presently, the models show the possibility of our service areas being impacted late in the week.
