Episcopal Children’s Services Opens New Head Start and Early Head Start Center in Hawthorne

Episcopal Children’s Services has opened a new Head Start and Early Head Start center in the city of Hawthorne, Florida. Excited parents and little ones stopped by the center’s open house on Friday, April 1 for a tour of the two classroom facility. Parents also received an overview of a typical school day and all policies and procedures. Most were relieved to have an Early Head Start and Head Start center in the location of Hawthorne. “The earlier they get this [program] the easier it will be when they get in school,” said grandparent Marilyn Gordon. ” Right now the kids are in the house with just me and their Dad. We are responsible for getting everything they need and I need for them to have this, she said.” Gordon is looking forward to the new possibilities with the ECS Hawthorne programs.
